In 1986, the Dutch Ceramists' Association invited 87 ceramists to exhibit their works in various galleries and museums in South Holland. The exhibition was accompanied by a catalogue:
Some of the biographical information on Marlies was new to me. I didn't know that she had a solo exhibition in Japan in 1971, at galerie 16 in Kyoto, which still exists.
Each artist in the catalogue selected a complete work, except, of course, Marlies. She picked out a detail (decoration fragment, p. 126). The photo was taken by Reinout van den Bergh from Breda:
