This isn't just a jug; its a balancing act. It rests on a very small base, and it is only because the handle and the spout are the same weight that it remains standing.

The combination of its rough forms and the Jackson Pollock-style decoration against a soft pink background is typical of Marlies' experiments with forms, colours and textures.
