No attempt is made to hide the construction of this jug. It is clearly a slab of clay that has been cut and folded into shape.

In contrast to its raw beauty, the handle of the jug is very delicately decorated with a thin roll of clay. The painting on it is breathtaking - could it be a pond with water lilies?
