This cup is one of the rare examples with a pattern in glaze. Only a few pieces are entirely glazed – a few fragile racks, for example, probably to make them stronger and more solid.
It is covered in black clay slip and decorated with a glaze pattern in black on the inside, which really catches the light and makes it stand out.
