Brabant Biennale 1985

An excellent source is the catalogue of the 1985 Brabant Biennale: 




It contains two works by Marlies and a rare quote about whether she sees herself as a visual artist or a ceramist (p. 14):




I am indeed interested in all things visual. But I don't believe I am a visual artist. I don't want to have that pretence. Besidesceramics can cover a very broad spectrum.
