This rack is made by arranging six strips of clay vertically on top of three longer horizontal ones.

Due to the way they are stacked and thanks to the beautiful painting, this basically unspectacular rack nevertheless looks like a lively and “finished” object. The base bears Marlies' small but unmistakable signature, etched into the surface.
